Default fatboy tanks question

whats up guys ill be doing a paint job on a fat boy its a 100th anni well just a question on the tank does the tank split in two???? ive never work on a bike other than mine do they split in two???? thanks

You may be able to get some serious coin for the 100 ann. tins, sell the tins and get yourself another set of non aniversay tins, so I hear.

BTW the tank should be one piece if Im not mistaken.

It is a one piece tank. Aren't you going to wreck the value by painting the stock tank? Seems like it would make more sense to paint a matching tank and keep the original. JMO

im just doing what the customer wants man it has a dent on the right side of the tank and the fenders have scrathes when i lif the bib under the dash the tank has separate mounting locations when he fills his tank he has to do one at a time

My '03 is one piece, that all I really know about the tank. I fill the hole on the right, the left one has a gas and charge display.
