Default Clicking clutch handle

'07 STC . Had to have dealer replace the clutch line from clutch handle to trans due to a seepage at the trans. joint. After 10 miles of driving with the new clutch line, the clutch handle clicks once when it is fully pulled in (neutral). If I line up the cable so it comes straight off the handle body the clicking stops. Any experience out there with this problem and any solutions?? Thanks, Steve
