Does anybody know when HD plans to launch the 2009 Heritage models?
Also, what are the main differences between the 2007 Heritage AND the 2008 Heritage ?

I heard in july.

 

The one difference I have seen between 07 & 08 is there are so many accessories that are still not available for the 08s. Two that come to mind are Swinging Arm Bolt and Nut Covers,( Aluminator Style ). The other is the Chrome Cover for the shift linkage. HD has two or more supplement catalogs out and they aren't in those either. There are many more add on's to numerous to list that they still don't have.

 

The new model roll out for HD is allways announced in July after the Dealer Show. 2009 model bikes could be available as soon as a couple of weeks after the show.

I would have thought the 07 parts such as those you mentioned would fit on an 08.

 

Onthe Swing Arm Nut & Bolt Covers, only one coverwill fit, I forget which one. On the Chrome Shift Linkage Cover I tried the 07 on my 08 and it will not work due to a dimension change on the 08s. The 2008 Parts & Accessories Catalog only lists the above to fit up to the 2007s. I took a chance and bought them and neither fit, returned for refund. HD makes these changes from the previous yeargrzly but don't ask me why, I'm sure that in Willie G'S warped mind he has a reason.
