Default Gas smell

I have an 07 Fatboy with VH BR & fuelpak. Lately when I come home from ride and bring bike in the garage Ismell gas, and this time the tank is no where near full. Is this normal or should I be concerned?

I get this sometimes too. It could be fuel gases venting out, or unburned fuel in the header pipes. Probably nothing to worry about, unless you find an actual fuel leak.

NO WORRIES, ITS NORMAL. mine does it sometimes. warg hit it on the head, gasses venting. when you shut the bike down, it actually heats up, initially, because you have stopped moving. the fuel also heats up and expands, so it vents out through the pipes and a/c...thats what you are smelling.

UMM I DID WANT TO MENTION...make sure you do look your bike over for any fuel leaks. make sure you have no fuel puddeling in the garage floor....then NO WORRIES[8D]
