Default Opinions on Kuryakyn Hypercharger?

Just wondering if anyone's got one installed. I've got the football on my Deuce with a nice Joker coverplate, but I'd kind of like to get a different look. I've already got my airbox removed with a K&N filter & crankcase rerouter. My bike's already jetted & tuned for the pipes and set of 37's I've got in once I converted to gear drive.

I doubt it will mke more of a difference airwise than what I've already got.

I'm just wondering if anyone's got one that can tell me about their reliability, etc. I'd like something different, but not just one of the pointed-style air intakes (I tour alot, so this thing is going to get wet). I don't think the hypercharger will suck more water than my 1/2 exposed air filter as it is.

Any opinions would be appreciated.

TIA,

Cannon

This topic has been debated before. I have one installed on my Fatboy. I like it. Dependable, no mechanical problems.I don't have a problem with rain. BUT increased performance??? maybe but minimal. I got it becauseI like the looks...Period. Would I get another? Depends on what "LOOK" I am looking for, but to say I would get another because of my increased performance....NO

Had one on an older bike. Just as dependable as any. I think they cheap'n the look of a Harley. What I mean by that is in pics they don't look bad but I think in person they are just too gouty (if spelled right). Too much of a gimmick type of thing. But just my 2 cents.

Had one on a Sporty I once had. No problem with rain, but have to agree with everyone else; all show no go. As far as some of the other breathers are concerned, rain shouldn't affect those either (they are usually soaked in oil and will repel water)unless they are totally submerged.

Had one on my last bike, no mechanical problems with it at all...went thru some downpours with no issues...is it the best performingA/C goin'? ...no...but it performed a lot better than the Screamin Eaglebreather I replaced with it...

I wasn't concerned with performance (When I want performance, I take my Ducati out for a rip), just looks. I did a great deal of shopping, and I'm going with one of the spike models from D&M Custom Cycles.

+1 for dealing with them thus far. I talked to Lori, both via e-mail & in person. They responded to me almost immediately, and were very clear, concise, and helpful on the phone. In fact, they're shipping my order out today. I'll post about the install when I receive my shipment.

Thanks to those who replied; I appreciate the advice.
