Default PC III Shorted out

My PC III developed a short, and when I get the replacement back, I was wondering if there is a way to encapsulate it?&nbsp\\; This is on an 08 Night Train, installed in front of the rear fender..(were the alarm is)...Do these things need to get air flow to prevent over heating?&nbsp\\; Anybody have a problem with their PC III?&nbsp\\; Thanks.

I was told to coat it with silicon grease on all the contacts.

I'm sure you can figure out a way to put it under the seat...I've heard it's been done.&nbsp\\; That way it's all covered up.&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
No, the PCIII won't over heat.
