PC III Shorted out

PC III Shorted out
My PC III developed a short, and when I get the replacement back, I was wondering if there is a way to encapsulate it? \\; This is on an 08 Night Train, installed in front of the rear fender..(were the alarm is)...Do these things need to get air flow to prevent over heating? \\; Anybody have a problem with their PC III? \\; Thanks.

yeah,,, i think i will try that....just doesnt seem to be a lot of room under there.....
