Looks great with no saddlebags, as long as the rest of the surrounding accessories are also chromed. Go for it.

RE: Chrome swing arm?
I thought about installing one this spring too. I read a post and a guy said fatboys are suppose to look like a old school hardtail. with a chrome swing arm it would take away from the hardtail look. I thought about it and this is the direction I am heading with my fatboy. so, I decided not to install a chrome swingarm. If you arm not looking for a hardtail look then put one on they do look good.

RE: Chrome swing arm?
I installed a Chrome Swing Arm, Chrome Sprocket Cover, Chrome Sprocket Nuts and Axle Nut Covers on my 07 Fatboy and I love it... looks very good and no regrets what so ever... but to each their own.
I think it all cost me ~$1200.00 (installed), but worth every penny!
