After riding 2-up for about 30 miles at 60-65mph my rear tire seems way too hot on my 08 Deluxe.&nbsp\\; The pressure was at 40 psi.&nbsp\\; Is this normal?&nbsp\\; I'm concerned about the tire failing from being to hot.&nbsp\\; Any advice would be appreciated.&nbsp\\; Thanks!

dont touch it.

 

hell tires do get a little hot in fact the handling goes away little on a cold day before they warm up...some people don't know better

thats what i think alls well and dont touch them ..&nbsp\\; maybe all our tires get really hot but we dont touch them to figure it out

 

Hey lilwilly, check your pressures cold. I believe in the manual the deluxe is 36psi and you add 4lbs for passenger.

 

40 PSI, measured cold is pretty typical for these bikes for two up riding.&nbsp\\; An under inflated tire will run hot.&nbsp\\; As long as your rear brake works OK, isn't dragging, the temperature is OK back there.
