My Fatboy gas mileage same as my 1200L
Fill up my first tank today since I picked up my 06 Fatboy a few days ago, highway/city combined, the gas mileage is same as my 06 Sportster 1200L, I am quite surprised, I thought this twin cam 88 is going to burn more gas but I am wrong, I bet the fuel injection system does help.

My 06 carb sportster got 50 to 54 and my 07 fatboy gets 38 to 42 in summer and 40 to 44 in winter.

My '06 Fatboy is getting 40 ish mpg. \\; I do a good mix of highway and back road riding and have been pretty happy with the gas mileage.

My '99 Sportster gets 49MPG average and my '08 Softail Custome gets 40MPG, 42MPG on the highway only.

I get around 49 mpg highway with a 70 mph average speed on my 06 fatboy FI. stage 1 air filter and exhaust, dealer flash with 25 degree injectors.

I got around 39-41 mpg city/highway combined, I am an aggressive rider.
