Default Power Commander vs. Download for Stage 1

I have an 06 Fatboy with V&amp\\;H Big Shot Staggered and K&amp\\;N Air filter with dealership Stage 1 download. If I install a Power Commander to the bike, will I notice a performance improvement as compared to the dealership download? Will it be an obvious improvement or subtle?

If a PC is added, do I need to reset the mapping to the factory default? And, can I do this myself or do I have to pay the dealership to do it?

you can have them load the default map if you are going with a canned map on the PCIII. I would pay for a dyno-tune and them you dont need to have the old map on the ECM. if you have the money get a&nbsp\\;Thundermax with autotune and add the 02 sensors that come with the kit and you never have to pay for dyno and the bike is always tuned.

Got Stage 1, SE A/C, V&amp\\;H Big Radius,&nbsp\\;PCIII and a specially designed "Wizard" map just for my riding style. Bottom line, Yes, you will notice a definite improvement but, you have to have it tuned via Dyno. Canned maps suck. Many options for getting "special" maps out there: SERT, Daytona Twin Scan, ect.

Canned maps suck.
&nbsp\\;
Not necessarily. Just put V&amp\\;H big radius and PCIII on my Rocker this past weekend, and loaded the canned map for softails with this setup off of powercommander.com
&nbsp\\;
The bike is actually tuned better than my friends from the harley shop, and hasn't backfired yet.

I will not notice better performance with just adding a PC? I have to have it Dyno'd also?

Spoke with the folks at PC and they have maps for my pipes, AC and the dealership download.&nbsp\\; From what you said though, Im wasting money just add ing the PC?

No you don't need to reset dealer map,,, dynojet should have a map for HD dl along with your stage 1. But IMO your wasting your dough unless you want to finetune the system or plan on changing your setup

Whichever system U choose to go with, a dyno tune is the best way to dial it in. No canned map can outperform a proper tune.&nbsp\\;I can't overstate "proper tune"&nbsp\\;
