Default Black Oil Tank?

Thinking of powdercoating my oil tank gloss black to match my engine guard, frame, A/C cover, horn cover and axle covers.&nbsp\\; What do you guys think?

Do it. Check out the CB oil tanks for a reference. I think they look AWESOME.

I like the way a oil tank looks blacked out. My bike came with the tank black.

FYI, I have seen a few nighttrains oil tank black powder-coating peeling off, try to find quality work.

+1 On leaving it chrome. The tank on my Rock is black and I want it chromed - looks too plain and darks the area.

The problem with black is that it will create a black space under your seat. There will be no contrast to the frame or shadows. It will become a black hole in the middle of the bike. You might consider doing pinstriping or other detailing to it.
