Default squeak in swingarm

hi, i have an 03 standard and when i push down and release on the rear end it squeaks. I lubed what i could and its still there. anyone else have this?

I had the same problem on my 06 heritage .I just removed and disassembled the shocks to put on a lowering kit and found that the shocks had alot of dirt in them around the spring .I cleaned out all the dirt and reinstalled with lube on the bolts were the bushings ride and the noise is gone.

Yep its most likely your shocks. Hit them with some lub (WD40).

Thanks a bunch to both of you. Lubing the shocks worked, but I had to loosen the bolts in order to spray the lube onto the bolt and in it's hole. Nice and quiet now.

Glad I found this ancient post. I was getting worried as my bike was squeaking this am. I guess I'll hit the shock bolts with WD 40.
