Default Softail Deluxe Seat

I own a 07 Deluxe and i like the solo style seat. What i have problems with is that the seat is to close to the handlebar and i have to less legroom. Are there any ideas out for aftermarket seats you would recommed in this case. Thanks

I also have a 07 Deluxe and have experienced the same issues with the stock seat. I replaced the stock seat with a Heritage seat and it worked out great for me.

If you are looking for the same style seat Mustang is very popular. For a different look, a LaPera seat offers a change. Great for around town but not so great for long trips. Example on my pic.

Send your stock seat to meancity or one of the other seat houses and have it modified. I had mine shaved down to move me back and down and also had a gel pad installed with a memory foam covering. It looks stock but I sit 1.5" further back and down. I have ridden the seat 7-8 hours on the freeway with no problems.

Lots of traffic on this one...and in the end it's all going to be what suits you best...which is hard to determine when you can't go to a "seat" dealership and try them all. I had the same problem. I rode a Heritage seat for a while, and it was comfortable and moved me back a little, but I didn't like the studs. I then rode a Heritage Springer, loved the seat, and in the end bought one with the rail assembly from Chicago Harley-Davidson. Love it! I don't sit any lower, but that was never a problem...I was moved back and that solved my leg room issue, and I can ride for 3 hours or so before I have to get off and rest...best thing I have bought yet!

Swapping the deluxe seat for the heritage springer seat works well...
Also having your stock seat foam reworked will do the job too...

But, I believe you are gonna have to do something additional like losing the stock bars and pullback risers!!
