Default Metzler 880 Marathons!

I just replaced my stock dunlops with a pair of Metzler 880s! I have only one regret, I wish I would have done it earlier. The wide white walls on my deluxe give the bike it's nostalgic look. But the one thing that sets these tires apart is the grip! The tires are glued to the road, and I never thought I would say it--but they are quieter and smoother too! If you're looking for a tire, you can't go wrong with the Metzler 880 Marathon. I bought mine from ronayers.com $253 for the pair, delivered! Can't beat it! Awesome tires!

Would a person get 8,000 on the 880's for a Fatboy, or would Avon Tyres be better, will be thinking about new skins for this next spring. Is there a best all around tire other than the stock HD set?

I get 9000 miles on the rear of my Deuce and 12000 on the front with the 880's.

They are softer, but they come with atleast twice the tread depth as most.So the milage is very close to anything else on the market. I'll always give up alittle life for grip anyway.

You can get them in radial or bias ply.

On the avons, I got a buddy running them, He said they were great new, but now after 2500 miles or so he's having trouble keeping the bike hooked up.

I got the ME880's on my Sportster and love them.....if Metz makes these with the 2in whitewall...I will change the Dunlops for them as well on my Deluxe...it's a must that I keep the whitewalls on the Deluxe :-)
