Default Thunderheader Black w/chrome shields

Thinking about changing out my current exhaust, D&D Fatcat, for a ThunderHeader system. The sound of the Fatcat is just not grabbing me.

Either way has anyone seen or heard of Black TH with Chrome Heat shields? Pix if you gotta would be most helpful...

Thank you,

No pics, but I sure do love my thunderheader. I've had several different brands of exhaust, but I always go back to the thunderheader. I love that TH sound....

having driven thousands of harleys,,, the thunderheader 2into1 is my hands down favorite. The black just frosts the cake.

Sounds OK, performs poorly for a 2:1. Was designed for a smaller 1340cc EVO engine originally. You want that nice sound WITH the performance. Try a 2:1 pipe from RB racing, Supertrapp 2:1, or Bassini's 2:1 setup. All much better pipes with a similiar sound with the Bassini taking the cake.

I have a buddy with a dyna, he has the TH 2 into 1. The sound is really good, the finish work on it doesn't quite get it though. It looks like it was made in somebody's basement. JMO.

I think a black thunderheader would look great on a heritage, minus the heat shields. Look in the springer pic section, there's a springer classic with a black t-header in there that looks awesome.

Have a buddy that has TH on his RK. He was telling me the other day about coating problems with the Black and people were not getting satisfaction from TH. This is third hand info but something id check into closer. I'm not big on the looks of TH but they do have a sweet sound when coming out a 110hp RK.
