Default Handlebar shake at speed

Is it normal for the handlebars to shake back and forth quite noticeably at around 30mph and above? I've ridden sport bikes many times and this is my first Harley. Never felt it before but my '08 Train has been doing it since I bought it.

Normal or no?

It's not normal. I have no shake in my 2005 Fat Boy bars.

definitely not normal. My 08 train did the same thing brand new off the floor. You need to take it back and have them adjust the steering head bearing or the fall away, same thing. Anyway, I am appalled that the monkey techs that do the pre ride let this get through. It is dangerous and it only gets worse.

Get that taken care of ASAP, it will take them a couple hours probably.

My '08 did the same thing ... take it in to the service department. It's a 15 minute fix.

mine only shacks at 80/100 mph and it is usually telling me it needs a new rear tire or my front pressure is a little low other than that my 04 std is rock solid..

one dealer told me it was normal and the tire was the cause. after replaceing the tire it still did it. went to dealer where i bought it and they did not want me to leave and they fixed the on the spot as a safety issue for free. front wheel bearing was defective

I noticed that my 07 Night Train is doing the shake between 40-50 mph, above or below these speeds all is well. I rode my friends 09 1200 Sporty today and noticed it was smooth through the entire range of speeds.
