Default Lowering the Train

Had a day to myself today. Very rare with a Wife and a daughter. Anyway, decided I was going to install the lowering kit for the rear and the Progressive lowering kit for the front. After I got the front apart, easier than I thought it would be, I decided to keep the lowers off and send them out to get powder coated. The rears were another story, I got them both out after many choice words and I found it easy enough to compress the spring and remove the lock ring. That's where the easy part stopped. Taking the studs off the shock itself is some fight. I gave in and ordered progressive 422's. I'm dropping the front 1" and the rear will be 1 1/4". I'm gonna probably sell the lowering kit, shocks and a bikers choice softail shock compressor. Depending on the powder coater, it should be back together next weekend.

Nice train, I dropped my *** end as soon as I bought mine. It rides a little rough, but it's so worth it!!!!

nice selection on the progressive shocks. I was leaning towards that direction, but decided to go with the kit instead. I lowered my back by 2 inches and my front by 2 inches.

And after they are done, are you gonna keep the stock front fender?

Is sent it out to a shop Final Touch Powdercoating. Found out about them here. It's only costing about $105.00 plus shipping. I used a guy close to home a few months ago to do my front wheel and had them install stainless twisted spokes. Wheel looks great but it's not worth the money i spent on it. It rides like an egg so I bought the six way spoke from harley. As for the front fender, I would like to get one that wraps around the rear of
the tire down low. Everything in time.

Got the lowers back from powdercoat and installed the rear 422's along with a 1" drop in the front. I brought the rear fender down to the sidewall in the rear. You can tell from the photo's how the rear is dropped.
