Default What is this Fat Boy Worth

I saw a 2004 Fat Boy, 9654 miles, tons of extras, chrome everything. Top shape with custom paint, Cobra pipes. The dealer wants $15000 and its $17300 out the door tax liscence etc. Is it worth that? Looks great sounds great.

uhm, that's one hell of a bike. but all those miles...it seems a bit too much for me. you can probably talk them down lower then 15000

That's a sweet looking bike, but that seems a little steep to me. I'm sure that someone here will let you know what the price should be.

Default What's This FatBoy worth?

A check on ebay with 16 completed items for 2004 FatBoys shows 3 selling. One with a salvage title for $8000. One with 5507 miles sold for $11,450, and one with 6716 miles sold for $9600. I assume that all were private owner sales. Not much bidding action above the $10,500 mark.
Check with NADA reveals a low retail of 11,175 and an average retail of 12,985, again as a private party transaction. The asking price, therefore seems high. I don't think the miles are high for a 5 year old bike as long as it has been serviced regularly. Should have had a rear tire and brakes probably by now. Obviously a dealer is going to want significantly more than a private party, but this price seems too far out of line. Lots of extras, although extremely costly, do not, unfortunately, usually add a significant amount to the vehicle.

I would look at it this way, Dealer dosen't give you nothing extra for add-ons when you trade a bike in and then they want to turn around and charge more for the bike because it has extras already on it. With almost 10'000 miles on it and being 5yrs old I would consider buying a new 09 fatboy at $15'900. But if you really like that one I would really try to get the price down by 1-2 grand. Hope it works out for ya.

you can buy a 08 rocker c in new england for $1,6375.00 so i would say a new Fatty is $15,900 list take off at least third for used no matter how many goodies it has

It sounds a bit high but don't forget the custom paint set and extra.
I bought my 06' Fatboy 5 months ago, 11,000km with $3000 extra, paid $14,500cad.

Nice bike but to be worth it over buying brand new one, they'd need to come down a couple grand for me.

Dealers will always charge more for used bikes than they can be had for private party. If youa re willing to pay that it is worth it. PErsonally, I would search cycle trader, HD trader, Craigslist, and ebay till I found what I wanted, but that is jsut me and I am a poor fool. I have never bought a bike new or from a dealer out of the 13 I have owned. Never had a problem either...

Are you serious? It has less than 10k miles and the bike is 5 years old. Thats less than 2K a year. Hell my bike is 3 years old and Ive got 20k on it.
