If you are not worried about making mucho hp & tq---- RUSH mufflers are basically the old fashioned glass packs and sound that way. I have them and I actually gave up some hp & tq to use them because of the sound---mine are the 1 1/2 inch baffle--not too loud not too quiet-- if you like loud ,get the larger baffles--they come any size you want and all cost the same.
Below are some pics ( same bike you have ) If you want to maximize your hp&tq -- try the D&D Fat Cat 2 into 1,it really boosts what you already have--sounds good but is louder !
see WWW.epiflex.com (for Rush Mufflers) ----see WWW.danddexhaust.com (for Fat cat 2into1 -click on catalog)
(11-06-08 my attachments went away !!!! where are they ????
put them back ! my reply looks goofy W/O them--------)

You're sure to get quite a few suggestions on this topic. Depends on how loud and the tone you are after. I have V&H Duals with quiet baffles. Significantly louder than stock. Quiet bafflers give the pipes a lower tone IMO. I've also had V&H Big shot longs with and without quiet baffles. They seemed louder but that may becaue the sound was specific to one side. Of course you can go for broke and not use baffles and have an ear splitting pipe... again, IMO.
Nice choice for bike BTW.

Are you going for looks, sound, or performance?
You will probably get a lot of different answers because there are lots of favorites.
If you want to keep the stock look of the pipes, the suggestion on the Rush slipons will give you the sound you are looking for.
If you want to change out the look and sound, a set of duals looks great on a Deluxe (just my .02). The Longshots style of pipe is also a popular choice for this style of bike.
There also is 2>1 style pipes like the Thunderheader that will give you a great sound and maybe a bit of a performance gain. I personally like the way Thunderheaders sound, but I think the look of the pipe fits a Dyna better than the Deluxe ( Be patient, and someone will post a pic of a killer looking Deluxe with a Thunderheader and make me regret typing that ;^) )
