Default Hard Bags On Springer Classic

What does everyone think about having hard bags on a Heritage Springer? The Heritage has a classic look, but im not really into making everything nostalgic, or stock looking bikes. And i really do not like the looks of soft bags. Im thinking about stretched hard bagging my scooter, along with some 16 inch apes, and a 21 inch front wheel?

Whats your thoughts, be them good or bad?

I've been kicking around the idea of putting a set of hard bags on mine. If you do it post a pic so's I can see how it looks. I've got leather one's on mine now but they just aren't big enough and I know I could pick up a set of Shovel era bags on ebay for a lot less than a good set of larger leather ones would cost.

heres the only one that i have seen. i found it on this site in the springer picture gallery.

This bike is almost the exact deal im looking for. Except i want smaller apes, my pipes are shorter, and im planning on going a lil more "rat"

Just my take on your project. I think the way to go would be the Road King Classic bags. 14 inch apes.......No 21 inch front wheel.

But as stated......Just MY opinion.

I really like that paint job. You could put pretty much any hard bag on your bike. The deluxe was the bike that i originally wanted to buy, but i fell in love with the springer.

Check out this bike, its exactly what i was wanting to portray when i was first looking for a bike.
