I really cant tell much of a difference between the 21 and 23. They were VERY stable at speeds. The 19 (not that your considering that) turned a little better, but by no means was the 23 hard to ride and still turned very well in the twisties. Ill dig a pic up.
Thats great man. thank you very much for taking the time to reply. Thats what i was wondering, how it would handle, I think I should just go ahead and stick a 23 on there anyway. i havent seen any posts saying dont do it ya know. thanks again

If I had the cash, I would consider the 23. If you're worried about getting tires, you might buy an extra to have in your garage or something. One thing to consider is that your front end will gain about an inch vertically from the larger diameter wheel/tire. You'd have to shorten the forks a little over an inch if you wanted to level it (you need to change the forks more than an inch to change the vertical height an inch).

Default Question

Did you ever go through with getting the 23" wheel?

Not to crazy about the way the Fatboy looks with the 23". I like the baggers a lot better.

Sweet looking bike. I am looking into a 23" for my 08. I like the look of the solid wheel that comes standard though. Has anyone ever seen an oversized, 21" or 23", that has the solid wheel? How does it look?

i love my 23 up front..
i dont think you would regret it. i went for 21 at first and bought a complete set of fender from klockwerks but when i got it home.. i bought a 23 inch spoke wheel. i had the front fender extended 1 inch and even with 0,4 mm of space from the front tire to fender i never had problem with it expanding and makeing problems on the fender.
