Default Outlaw DOT Carbon Helmet and Xelement Jacket

Picked up a CF Helmet and Jacket from Leatherup.com. Story808 forwarded me some pics of his new helmet and helped finalize the decision. The helmet is light and does not sit as high up as other 1/2 helmet DOT's. The shell is smaller then my THH DOT and the same size as my novelty. The helmet does not sit as high as the THH but higher then my novelty. The width and length is the same as the novelty.

The Bad - Personally do not care for the visor but without the visor on, the visor snaps on the helmet look funny. So I removed the snaps and reinserted the small screws into the helmet - looks much better. Very limited padding, but that is one reason it sits so low. No quick d ring option.

Decided to try this jacket.

I was very surprised with the quality given the price. This jacket would cost twice as much at Cycle Gear. I tried on several at CycleGear.com, their is a B and M about 30 mins away, did not like any of them so thought I'd try this one. I got very lucky, it fits perfect.

Google for 10% off coupons and spend more then $89 for free shipping.

Looks like you found some nice riding gear for a decent price. Let us know how it works on the road!

Went out yesterday for a couple hours. The helmet is just slightly smaller then the THH and had a pressure point. Removed a little styrofoam in one area - feels good now.

The jacket is very comfortable. Dont need to layer much with the liner. Will be good for fall through early summer in this area. btw - my Dad lives in Lake Elsinore.

Typically not into padded jackets and dot lids but a couple months back a bike in front of me missed a turn and went into the soft stuff. To see a person fly in the air and an 800lb bike flip a couple times only 20 feet away from you is a lot different then watching it on tv. Reality check as they say.

I got an x element leather jacket (cafe racer style) from leatherup a few months back. It was $89 and is a really nice jacket. Here is the jacket I got. I wanted a new Schott but $500 was not doable.

Nov, Outlaw and THH. The THH is the same as in the link in first post with guy wearing the helmets.

The holes could easily be filled with black silicone or something. Thought of it last night and the screws were right their. lol The snaps left a small indentation on the helmet - hard to tell, not a big deal. Much better then with the snaps imo.

Had no pressure points/doesn't lift at speed and fits like a glove and at a good price also.
