Wink Front and Rear O2 Sensors

The DTCs for my 2007 Springer with the 103 kit are: P132-0 and P152-0 indicating Front O2 Sensor High and Rear O2 Sensor High, respectively. My local dealer wants to spend an hour on diagnosis, at the cost of $90.

Because I don't have HD service manuals, and prefer not to spend this kind of money simply to diagnose a problem, I wonder if anyone has a series of steps I can take to possibly identify the cause of these DTC codes.

I don't want to remove and replace the O2 sensors without knowing the cause of these codes and the reason my bike simply stopped running while I was riding ... the symptom is similar to a fuel vapor lock but after coasting to a stop and powering off/on, the bike ran again.

I have some basic hardware tools (wrenches, sockets, etc.) but no diagnosis tools.

Thanks for any and all help.

If you don't want to spend the $60.00 for a manual so you can do most of your work yourself, then pay the dealer.

O2 sensors reading high indicates a lean condition. You'll need a service manual and some basic knowledge of EFI to nail down the cause. Could be a problem with the fuel pump, could be the TPS. could be the MAP sensor.

A fuel pressure gauge is fairly cheap, the TPS can be tested with an ohm meter.

Thanks to both. For the short term, I'll head to the dealer. For the longer term, I'll invest in a manual and learn some basic knowledge of EFI and other HD systems.

Is there an inline fuel filter? If so, I'd check that first.

If you don't want to offer any real help, don't type.

Fast Fac - Have you don't any exhaust/intake mod? Fuel Tuner? Any of that stuff? Or are you running stock intake/exhaust/fuel mapping/etc.?

when i saw the 103 kit a fuel tuner is the first thing that came to my mind, engine work, pipes and a/c = lean running engine if you dont add a tuner.

Good point. I assumed that it was running properly before the problem arose.

Was this a normal ride (was it running properly before this happened) or a test ride after doing the 103 build? When you say "the bike ran again", how long/far/fast did you run it afterwards?

If he didn't have the tuner, then it would run like **** but I don't think it would cause the engine to shut down.
