oh, you're definitely right....houston roads are s@#$. micro and i are still looking for something decent close by for quick rides. there's a few roads that are 'ok' just to the north of us, but not much past that. houston roads are made for drag racing and that's about it. hahaha.

Take the back roads East of Houston, off 146, on up to Lake Livingston. Then around Lake Livingston. Closer than West of Austin/San Antonio. Nothing like the Hill Country. Well, not in Texas anyway....I was brought up in New England...still visit family...that is good riding ....but then again you can comfortably ride Texas Hill Country in February. Thanks for the link, another stretch to try one day.

wow! no, i didn't see that at all! i'll have to look for it next time we go. my wife sent me a few pictures from our ride though. figured i would share.

I rode 392 in one day a few weeks ago on my 2008 Night Train. Stock seat. Little bit of monkey butt. We stopped every once in a while (had a Sporty with us that needed to fuel more often). You would be surprised what a few minutes out of the seat can do for the long rides.
