Default Kick stand

Buddie of mine's dad has a sporty and he feels that the side stand is to short ( about 8" ) He feels the bike leans over way to far and has trouble standing it upright. He is 75 years young. Any of you guys have any suggestions
Thanks Clap

Hi from Bedford UK! It would help if you tell us what year and model his bike is.

what grbrown said...thoughts are if the suspension has been raised, jiffy stand needs extended. low model with raised suspension may need a jiffy stand from a "c" model as an example

I took mine heated the bottom and changed the location of the bend to farther down the stand. Then weld extra metal to the bottom the make a larger foot print. It works perfect.

Some riders are known to weld a thick nut on the bottom of the stand to help raise it up some.

Keep in mind that you want the bike to lean far enough to the side so that if you ever have a flat tire, therefore lower to the ground, the bike can still lean far enough to remain standing.

If the Jiffy stand is 8" long it has a Hugger style jiffy stand you need the longer standard Jiffy stand for what ever year his bike is.
