Default New sporty owner questions

I just bought a 2000 1200 sporty, it had a lot of aftermarket parts, more show parts than go parts, my question is, it has a digital speedo on it, it reads a constant 5-6 mph even in neutral, what could be the issue? And there is a little cone shaped deal on the frame next to the shift lever, it looks like a air sensor or something? Has 2 wires going to it, what is it? I cant find anything about it on good ole google. Any answers would help!

Did you get the speedo manual? there is probably a calibration feature. You may be able to get a manual on line if there is a brand name on the speedo.
Not sure on the cone, can you post a pic?
Welcome to the forum by the way!

Ahh yes that does make sense! I guess lol never really thought them things worked, i just got back from a ride, besides my kickstand spring breaking and having to do on road repairs... It was fun, thanks for the warm welcome, im glad to be here, im gonna look for a online manuel for that speedo, but first for a new kickstand.

ronniesharleydavidson.com has the schematic drawings. prices are fair and shipping too. I try to purchase more stuff to benefit on their low cost shipping prices.
