Yes looks is other reason for the 2 sizes.
I've got an 883 for now so I guess that makes things optional for me. I'll probably just end up going with the Fig 5 but I'll definitely keep reading up on the DK's and knock-offs. Thanks for all your help!

the 1 thing they all have in common is they flow the same amount of air... the dk 587, is the same k&n filter as the vision 5. and the 425 is the same k&n visoin 4 inch filter. what they dont have in common is price and the Dk vents the bad air, leaving only fresh air for your motor. Which is one of two reasons to get a new a/c 1. better performance(more air flow) and 2. looks. I went in that order so getting a cheaper priced a/c doesn't mean its not a good as a joker machine, figure machine, performance machine, a ness, screaming eagle, Kinetic motorcycles, ( all of these vent back into the a/c for C.A.R.B/EPA compliance.)

I bought one of the knock-offs on Amazon for $36. Did the install myself, and I am FAR from mechanically inclined. To look at it, I doubt you could tell me it isn't name brand, and it seems to do the job perfectly.

Later!
