Hardtail battery
So,much to my dismay,I built this battery box...
for the full size battery that was in my Sporty when I got it.I now find that it does not fit in my hardtail frame(I built it before I bought the HT,as a practice welding project). It won't allow for the chain to clear, and sit anywhere cleanly in the lower rails. What are you guys using for a smaller/comparable battery.Or where/how can I fit this in on the frame as it is?

I have one in the bike below for 4 or 5 years and it works as good today as the day I installed it. Gives me room for all the stuff I have under the seat.
It's also the battery I will be using on my chop I'm working on.
If you get a smaller battery, you will have to cut down the batt tray made, but then it will fit easily between your bottom rails.
You can see from pic below, I have a ton of stuff in there...no way would it all fit with a OEM size battery.

I use an Antigravity Lithium. It is really small compared to stock. See this LINK for photo's and specs.

Yeah, I'm using the 12 cell. It is a high compression 1250cc engine, and the recommended size for that is the 16 cell. But I have had no issues using the 12 cell with it.
It's quite a bit smaller than the one pictured on 08fxd's ride above.
