I seem to have lost the turn signals on my 2009 Road King police bike.
Checked the fuses and all seem ok. Bulb ok too. Running lights also OK.
What do I look for next?
It seems like this is a continuation of you wanting to remove a wiring harness, getting some lights working on a tour pak and installing Custom Dynamics wiring harnesses.
You should keep everything in one thread instead of starting a new thread on the same issues because it makes it difficult for others to know the whole story.
So, what is the whole story on this lighting/wiring project?

Understood. I decided for now that the harness was going to stay where it is since I have other things to get done so I can get the bike on the road again. I haven't removed anything yet as far as wiring but when I was checking the lights I discovered that the turn signals aren't working now and I don't know why. I rode the bike home from the dealer with dealer plates because they made a mistake on the mileage statement for the title and had to request a new one which I don't have yet so I have been working on painting the front fender and looking things over while I'm waiting for the title and the keys which they somehow misplaced.
The bike is on a jack. I'm just trying to find out how to diagnose why the signals are not working.
The bike starts, Running lights work. The headlight is not currently installed but I didn't think that should have any affect.

Then, I guess my questions would be were the turn signals working when you left the dealer? If not, I suggest taking it back to them. If they were working, did you do anything to the wiring, controls, switches or anything else that might have caused the issue. Again, be as detailed as possible because, remember, we’re not there.

That's a good question. After I paid for the bike, I got on and rode home and parked it so I never actually saw if they were working or not. Don't think I can confirm that but could ask the dealer if he checked them.
I'm thinking I will disconnect the rear wiring harness and put a meter on the pins to see if there is any power to the signals there.
On the wiring diagram it looks like this bike has a turn signal module. How would I go about testing that? Check for power coming in and out?? or is there more to it than that?
In the headlight bucket I disconnected the main connector briefly to try and figure out why the yellow/black wire had been cut and rerouted to something else. That was not done by the dealer - it had something to do with the police equipment. I put the connector back together.
I checked with the dealer and he said the signals were working previously.

Can one of the moderators combine this thread with the other one??
