I'm trying tout find out what my options are for wider tires with no mods unless super easy and cheap.

I see using a 19in 883 mag mentioned but I think the dull gray will look like crap when everything else is chrome

 

OK, then get a 19" laced spoke and put 100/90-19 or 110/90-19 on it

 

What years and axle sizes are compatible

 

Front: 2000-2007, 3/4" axle
Rear: 2000-2004, 3/4" axle

Rear went to 1" axle in 2005
Front & rear went to 25mm axle in 2008

 

The narrowglide 2000-2007 Sportsters and 2000-2003 Dynas all use 3/4" front axles with sealed bearings and are a direct interchange

 

Is this actually going to make a noticeable difference or just make me think so? $200 wheel price is the only difference in cost. The Dunlop American elite tires I priced cost the same either way
