Default Sportster to bagger conversion

For anyone who may be interested, I stopped by the local grocery store today and wondered over to the magazine rack. The March issue of a magazine called "Hot Bike Baggers" has a 4 or 5 page article along with pictures on converting a Sportster into a bagger. Just thought I would pass this on.

Step 1: Buy Sportster.
Step 2: Buy bags.
Step 3: put bags on Sportster....?

CMC,

It's actually easier than that...The formula is one simple step:

"BUY BAGGER"

I have both and wouldn't dare bastardize my sporty with bags and shield....It's best in pure form with a few horses and lots of noise added.

Well, sure, if you want the best tool for the job, I suppose.

I've got Harley leather bags, quick detach windhield and mini-rail back rest. A small Road King is called a Road Prince.

We actually saw onerecently, in the parking lot of our dealer. We started walking in the door, took a double take and walked back to see it, thinking "is that a Sporty bagger? Can't be". But it was and actually looked pretty damn nice! I think the point is that you can do whatever you want to any bike you own to make it likeYOU personally want it, and if that person loved his/her sporty, but needed a bagger, they at least did up it right, and did it all the way.

Pearch, you guys need to give me some slack. I'm a purists. I wanna see a bike in it's true form.....NOT STOCK, but elevated to a place where it screams it's purpose.....It's an emotional thing.

I fully accept and appreciate that many bikers mod their rides to accommodate their needs, and I don't look down on them for it.....but you gotta admit nothing grabs you like a machine that makes a clear and bold statement of purpose without compromise.
