Default Nightster harness/ignition relocation??

I am looking to hide that god awful harness. Judging from what I have seen, I should just have to raise the tank? I am also wanting to relocate the ignition, any good ideas? any help with this would be awesome..thanks

I am leaning the same way so if any one has a step by step it would be appreciated. Also, can you use the current coil bracket when you move it or do you need to buy or make a new one?

Everyone i know of whos done it, has had to do some fabrication. I used a 96ci Big Twin airbox bracket. I didnt lift my tank. I removed the plactic harsesses and put connectors on the wires that way i can still troubleshoot electrical problems if need be. Wire loomed it and neatly zip tied it to my frame...

Sorry for the poor picture quality...Cell Phone...

I raised my tank 2", ditched the harness cover and wrapped the harness in electrical tape to keep in in a semi flat and neat shape. Then made a coil mount out of some thin aluminum stock and ordered another stock short plug wire. It takes a little time unplugging and rerouting certain wires til you find the cleanest route for each but worth it.

Did you all rerun the wires in the front to the right side of the bike?? I have my bike all torn apart in the garage right now. I need to get a bracket for the coil too. If anybody can give me some steps on how you hid the wires that would be great....Thanks
