Default wire harness relocation?

I want to clean up the ugly plastic wire harness covers underneath my gas tank and relocate the coil and ignition. I understand where and how to move the coil/ignition but how are the wires rerouted? I had my tank off and everything removed other than wires themselves and could not figure how to make them not seen. I have only seen pictures of this never had the opportunity to see it up close. Any tips would be great.

There is enough slack to run them on top of the back bone underneath the tank.

yatez004 thats exactly it . there is no way with all the connectors on the harness i can hide them under the tank and then make the tank actually fit and connect back to thwe frame. or is there? didnt seem possible to me I ended up putting it all back together the way it came stock. Please let me know more details its my final project before the bike hits the tar mak again.

Well I took a couple days and put connectors in, staggered the joints so they wernt all bunched up, and i made it so if something electrical is wrong I can still troubleshoot and disconnect the connections.

Most guys who hide the wires UNDER the tank usually do a 1'' tank lift in my reasearch on here.

Make 2 brackets to lift your tank about 1 1/2'' to 2'' then you can run them between the backbone and the tunnel of the tank. (from what I understand.) I already did the lift, and I am planning on doing the wires this weekend.

I went without the tank lift, spent the time on the connectors, got some 3/4'' wire loom and it looks like the factory harness and unless mentioned you dont notice it
