Anyone on here getting triple digit HP from an EFI Sporty? Seeing the new 48 makes me miss my old '01...the best short haul solo machine I ever had. Looked at Zippers; the 88 inch kits seem to be only for carb Sporties. Are the forks on the "48" 39mm???
My stock 2009 XR1200 gets close to that now, right out if the box. I would imagine that with a free flowing exhaust and an improved air intake it would climb over the 100 HP limit. My 2006 Buell XB12R Firebolt gets about 114 HP now with the added Buell race kit. My stock 2009 Buell 1125R gets 146 HP, but that is not a Harley engine. A 100 HP is FUN!
Haven't Dyno tuned mine after the engine conversion yet. Will be doing that soon. I doubt that I will be at 100 hp though, as I didn't do anything to the heads. Oh, and mine is a carb bike. I forgot that was part of the original question.
Harley could put all the goodies that they used to put in the 102HP 1200 Buells it's the same motor they own the tech, Buell is out of buisness, it might lure in a few more of the younger riders but will they?

No, because the Sportster in HD's corporate eyes is not a performance bike but a price point entry...the Buell also had a lighter crank and was a much lighter bike, so it wouldn't work the same in a Sporty...having said that, there's no reason they couldn't develop a more performance oriented sporty, but obviously the 1200S didn't well that well or it'd still be here in some form. Much much more margin and waaay less engineering in applying paint and chrome.
