Default Speedo problem

I was riding today and could tell by wind and engine speed, I was doing at least 40 MPH. I looked down and speedo read less than thirty. Acceled and deceled several times and it was obvious the speedo was not moving as rapidly as it should have been. After cutting the bike off and then back on again later, it corrected itself. I've seen some speedo issues on here, but nothing quite like this, and it's not the first time it's happened. Anyone else experience this? BTW, odometer was functioning properly the whole time (as far as I could tell).

Yeah, mine does that every once in a while after I wash it. I just ride for a little while to get the water out of the neck & wiring areas, and then pull over to shut it down & refire.....That always fixes it.
