Default Forty-Eight... drag bars or mini-apes?

Trying to figure out what would work best on this bike. It's a tough call, because the bar choice will kind of depend which way the bike will go and I'm torn...

Can anybody share their pros and cons of each? Going from apes to drags or vice-versa and your preference?

Thanks!

I am going with drag bars think they look cooler that way with an old school look. Who knows might change it to mini apes later. But I like the low profile look.

Nightster/Iron look good with either Dragbars or Real Apes (Not Mini's).
BUT the '48 needs Dragbars, its just the styling and the body lines. It cries out for Dragbars

Keep them stock..., or go w/drag bars. Sorry, I'm not a ape hanger lover.

It's one of those things that's subjective to opinions...you'll probably get about a 50/50 split of people liking drags vs apes. Keep in mind drag bars will put you leaned over a little and may not be comfortable over extended periods of time, apes will be more comfortable but you may loose a little feeling of control. Go with what you feel works best for you.

Drag bars or some of the 2" rise drag bars.
To me drag bars are comfortable and your back doesnt' take those hard hits from bumps like if you had apes and your back is straight up, leaning over a little helps with the rough ride.

I did drag bars on mine and love them. But I must say I don't see mini apes looking good at all, it's either drag's or real apes if those are your 2 you're deciding on.

Some very good points. Appreciate the input. I had an '08 Nighster with apes and it looked so damn good, but as mentioned; you lose a lot of control and your back gets to absorb the bumps...

Can anyone point me to some nice drag bars for this bike? Assuming HD doesn't make them.
