Yeah that's what I figured. Cool idea. I have a bike that I slid the forks through enough to run clip ons that way and yes, I bottom out sometimes. It's rough.
Hey Mreed. I am curious about your comment, on the nice sporty in that photo. What is the total travel of the front suspension? You say it bottoms out sometimes. Thanks !!!
About 4" but it isn't bad at all. I run a heavier fork oil now and I've removed the chrome fork slider covers and I really haven't noticed it bottoming out.

Hey man.. thanks much for the info... so, how tall those chrome fork slider covers are?... would you say that with them total travel was about 2 1/2 -- 3'' ??
