Default Recent work on my Iron

I picked this 2010 Iron up from a private seller in March. It was for the most part stock.
Had an after market 2up seat, and a Screamin Eagle a/c on it.
I've been whacking away at it since.

This was around April

I had done the usual. Tank lift with wire tuck, relocated coil/ignition, mreed a/c, speedo relocated to the side, rigid struts, chopped fender.
I pulled the mufflers off and wrapped the pipes along with some x14iED's. Grabbed a 48 seat off ebay.
Front fender on, front fender off, then back. You know that game.
This past week I've done a few things. First off I wanted clip-on bars.
I got a pair off of e-bay which sadly weren't dimpled.
I didn't want to internally wire, or notch out my controls, or return them.
So of course at 12am when I was wide awake I got the grand idea to chop some brand new drag bars with dimples I wasn't using,
and make those my dimpled tubes for my clip-ons.

choppy choppy

So I had enough of those rigid struts. I went out on a limb and purchased Burly Brand 10.5" shocks after barely doing any research on them.

They're pretty, and black. Mmmm everyone loves black things....
Any how, the bike rides nice with them. And I like the over all height as well.

Next thing I did was purchase this gem

21" off of a 2009 1200 custom. Came with the tire. Anyone have any idea what this is worth? I feel like I stole it. I read somewhere rim alone from the dealer is over $400.
Having my speedo on the side of the tank was too crowded with the clip-ons so I fancied a little bracket and remounted it back on top of the tree. grancuda's pics of his bike gave me the idea for the mount. Props to you. I also got rid of the tank lift. It looked silly with the bars so low. I tried my best to do a wire tuck with out a lift. I sort of rushed it? I could have done a better job, I admit, and I may poke at it more. But it will do for now. I also relocated my ignition back to the stock position pretty much.
Here are some pics of the bike how it stands currently after a few hours of wrenchin.

Critics, let it rip.
All insight appreciated!
I'll post better pics when I get them.

Looks good. I'd love to chop mine up and make it a wicked solo scoot but my wife likes riding with me too much and I can't convince her to take the class and see if she'd like it on her own lol. What are you looking to do with that stock front wheel?

Tell your wife to just take the class, OMG, I never had my own bike but always rode with the hubby. If I knew how much fun it was way back then I would have had one a long time ago. The class was FUN and gave me the confidence I needed, I even made a 100 on the ridding test.

My girl wants to ride with me but I have no desire to have anyone on for the ride. Plus sitting on the fender would probably suck! As for the mag wheel, I think I'm going to hold on to it for now. I may get rid of it down the road.

Haha was I your clip-on inspiration? The bike looks super sweet. I wasn't the first guy on here with these bars, but it sure has caught on.

Haha nah. We just had that little discussion about making do with what I had, rather then just copping out and returning them. My inspiration was this almost two years ago before I even had my bike.
