On occasion the low fuel light comes on on my 2008 sportster when I have only driven 40 to 50 miles. It will go off come on go off seems only to happen on a long trip not around town. Any thoughts?

 

The low fuel light is horribly unreliable and many people have issues with it coming on early, coming on sporadically, staying on all the time and sometimes not coming on at all. Use your trip meter button to keep track of your fuel.
