Just wondering when the amber low fuel light comes on?
It say on the display that I have 30 miles to empty.

Strap a gas can on an go find out. I hear that there all different, Mine starts coughing just before the light and rolls to a stop with the light on. Good thing to know for sure, I was lucky to run out of fuel only a mile from work on a fairly safe road.

Mine comes on at 40-42 miles remaining on the display and I usually have just over a gallon left in the tank.

Mine comes on sometimes with at least 50 miles left. Most of the time not at all. I pay about as much attention to it as I do the fuel guage that I covered over.

Generally when the light comes on you have about 1 gallon left in the tank. Depending on mods and riding style, your mileage will vary.

Same here for me, and it is consistent.

I carried a small gas can with me just to find out when I was gonna run out on the trip A. I got a total of 215 miles before I came to a halt. Plus my low fuel light has never worked. Not to worried about it since the cost to repair is 500 plus dollars. I would just find out what works as a good trip and when you feel it is time to fill up.

I've had mine down to about 1/2 gallon left and the low fuel light never came on.
Really not a problem for me though as my wife rides a sportster and we're stopping every 30-45 minutes for her anyway. PLus she needs to have a smoke. lol
