Mine comes on at 40 miles left, ran it to 2 miles left once and it took 5.6 gal. 6 gal tank.

 

my 09 deluxe light comes on with 33 miles to empy than it says low with 10 miles to empty.

 

Yep, for me its been almost perfect for 5+ yrs,, when the low fuel light comes on I've got between .9 and 1.1 gals left, every time.. basically she'll go another 40 miles..

but I also re-set (A) trip every time I fill up,, and usually fill up again around 150 or so.

the low fuel light usually comes on around 170-185 if I keep riding.

I estimate nearly two gals left when my light first shows. It's not uncommon for my light to be on at around 120 miles. This causes problems because I tend to overlook the light and have been worried at times, especially when it is miles before the next town. My solution? I use the fuel warning feature on the Zumo 665 to keep me honest.

 

Ever since I put on my Dakota Digital gauge my light comes on at half tank. However, my flush mount gauge is much more accurate. When it shows one light left I have about 30 miles.

 

Mine comes on when I turn the ignition switch. Ha ha ha...
