Buddy who races asked me to list a ***** pump on CL. Long story short, it didn't sell. The sporty been sitting for a few months, so I wanted to drain the gas tank. Problem being I don't have money to go buy a damn vacuum pump to enable the petcock to drain the tank, and had already took the tank off the bike..
Go back in get on hdforums, where I go to read how-tos, and then I got the vacuum thing from the pump, and got a hose and hooked it to vacuum on the petcock,and damn the fuel started flowing out the petcock.
So there's a workaround if you don't have a vacuum pump, but you do have a ***** pump. Ain't been riding much, so sorry I haven't been posting much.

Um...so the tank was already off the bike and you just couldn't drain it by turning it upside down so the fuel could pour out into a separate pan or container?

And as such, being faced with such a conundrum [LOL], you claim to have hooked up your pals ***** pump to drain your own petcock? Dear Lord, the things you read about on the internet!!

I think there's more to this story than meets the eye...so c'mon, come out with it...ok, maybe that wasn't the best choice of words...hahahahahaha.
