Default Easier clutch pull...

The wife just got an Iron 883 and says the clutch pull is to heavy for her. She has had a broken wrist in the past and it bothers her in a lot of stop and go traffic.

Is there any way to reduce the clutch pull on a 2014 Iron?

Thanks

You can try to adjust it, or search for something like this but to fit Iron 2014

I have this one. I have a bum thumb tendon. This one works very well

I also coupled that with Kuyakin adjustable reach levers (even tho the Muller instructions say not to) to get the lever closer. With both, clutch adjustment is crucial, and a very narrow range of adjustment, but it works great for me

I put a Power Clutch in my wife's Sporty years ago. They do make a difference, pull is much easier and they adjust just like stock. I even put one in my bike because I got one at a Harley clearance sale for $50.

adjusting it will not help, going to be the same pull.

That looks like an expansive solution! Check these...

Very easy. Remove the derby cover and follow the instructions. The only special tools are torx drivers.

It may be expensive, but it's a quality part. I'll tell ya, that I have frequently been unhappy with cheap parts. I don't remember EVER regretting spending the money for quality. I will always try to get the best parts I can get for stuff that you need to rely on miles and miles from home. What happens when that cheezy little lever extension breaks off in the middle of no where?

But, to each their own. You do the research, make your decision, and take your chances. That is the nature of high performance products

Wink

Most of these devices reduce travel at the clutch, which can present problems with disengagement. An alternative is the handlebar mounted AMP device.

I put Burly cables on when I put 16 inch apes on and it made a world of difference on the clutch pull. The stock cable did not appear to be damaged but after a few minutes or so in stop and go traffic it was painful.
