Only getting 6,500 out of Car tires
I am on my second Ct on my 2011 crossbones. The first tire was a Pirelli 205/55r17 All season run flat and was shot at about 6,500. This time I tried running less air so as not to wear out the center so much. I am currently running a Continental and at 4,000 miles I am down to 4/32 tread. I don't do burn outs or abuse it in anyway. Would love to know how everyone else is getting 20,000-50,000 an I'm getting a fraction of that. My last bike tire was a Michelin commander 2 and I got 6,500 out of that. I may have to just go back.
Also it seems I could get cheaper car tire prices if I could fit a slightly wider tire on. If anyone knows if a 215 or 225 would fit my bike,I would appreciate it.. Thanks for help

Lay a 2x4 next to the rear tire so it extends to the front tire. Even though the rear tire is wider, do some math to figure out how far away from the side of the front tire the board should be. If it's off then you need to align the rear tire.
I have about 6K on my CT and it still looks new and I'm running over 120 horses.
