The reason I was on the sidewalk was because my pal, Paul, took a wrong turn out of KW and I was behind him and did not follow him, so I led the group around to the right road and had to pull onto the sidewalk to wait for him to do a U turn. His new road name is Wrong Way Paul as it was his 3rd time messing up that day.

Uh, the 7mile bridge is still just two lanes. And yeah, it does get scary when A-holes happen. That shot of the 4 lane bridge is South of the 7mile bridge.

I know what Tampa fatboy is talking about. Before those wide bridges were built, the bridges were very narrow. Trucks would slap mirrors all the time. My high school went down a couple of times in the early 70s to play football games. Those bridges were very narrow. In fact you can see them in the pictures and are used for fishing structures now.
