Default Insurance Time

Well, insurance time is a little over 1 month away so I am doing my due diligence and browsing thru companies and prices here in the FLAT state of Florida. Liability coverage is a no brainer here because prices are fairly cheap UNTIL I add on PIP! My $100 or so yearly premium rises to anywhere from $700 to $1900 and change, depending on which company I choose! I wouldn't consider eliminating or reducing the amount of PIP I have - SO - my question to all my fellow Floridian bikers being, who do you use for motorcycle insurance IF you have PIP! I'm not really interested in a lecture of who is a bitch to deal with if or when the time comes in as much as I am interested in hearing my insurance company options.

I have Progressive. It's good coverage and the cheapest I could find. When I was at bike week in March, Allstate was giving quotes and they were actually cheaper than Progressive, though not by much.

Default PIP is for autos in Fla

You should be asking for medical coverage rather than PIP. You can take a higher deductible if you can show your health insurance does not exclude accidents arising out of the use of motorcycles. This can knock your premium down a little bit.

I started with geico, then every renewal I check progressive,

When progressive is looking for business they are cheaper than geico, but I am back with geico as progressive was more the last two years

And I have geico for the cars and still sometimes progressive was cheaper

I have Progressive, but at around $900 a year they are expensive! House and car was with them and slightly cheaper than others. The last time I check State Farm would be a little cheaper on my Harley but they wouldn't do a stand-alone policy just on the bike.

I didn't realize they would not do bike only. I have our house, rv, 4 cars , a trailer and the TG all with State Farm. That may be why I got a good deal on the bike
