Default Heated Grips Question

I have a '11 Limited and the heated grips went bad about two years after I bought it. The bike has internally wired handlebars and every heated grip Harley sells says "Will not work with internally wired handlebars." with the exception of the OEM grips. I looked at some new CVO bikes yesterday at a dealer and it appears those are internally wired so why can't I put these grips on it?

No reason you couldn't. Just have the parts guy look up the grips in the appropriate year parts catalog for the CVO that you like.

I had the same thought.... ( I HATE the stock rubber grips)

Until I priced them.

$350-some odd dollars. For the LEFT grip only.

Too bad too, because my floorboards and pegs are all the airfoil collection, like the CVO, and I wanted the matching heated grips... and they don't make them except for the CVO.

If mine quit, I will either buy some of the regular P&A externally wired grips, or just say screw it and go back to my Kuryakyn ISO's.. I do like them grips, but I really like the heated grips on those cold winter days down here in South Texas when it dips into the 40's...

I got the '12 CVO grips on my RK when I bought it with fat Heritage-style bars. The dealer had a new set for a good deal. They still get nice and toasty.

Mine quit after 7 Months, 5 of which was sitting in the garage through the winter. The dealer changed the left grip only and they work fine now.

Go with heat demons heated bars and run whatever grips you want. $120 isn't too bad either.
