Default How low can you safely lower a 2010 Road King

I've been searching the forums but can't find the answers that I am actually looking for... unless I'm searching it wrong. My question is, is how far can you safely lower an otherwise stock 2010 Road King with however, intentions of eventually swapping out the front stock wheel for a 21".....

Thanks all

Burly slammers are 10.25 shocks I believe that would be as low as you would wanna go. They ride is rough. Also check out bitchin Baggers they are good people to deal with give them a call Ron will know or suggest how low you can safely go

I think replace the word "safely" with "practically".

there are trade offs.

suspension is there to push the tire to the road, as a byproduct the chassis gets a smoother ride, if the tire is pushed to the road when all those ruts and dips and bumps happen, the traction is maintained.

if the tire is "skittering" along...then traction is not as good ( my rigid panhead is like this).

keep this in mind if altering the suspension.

lean angle is reduced- so can't get around corners as quickly

and there is possibility of running out of suspension travel...maybe the rear tire smacking up the inside of the rear fender...the tire can get grooved by bolt ends, wiring can be chewed up, paint can be burned off.
in the front the fender can smack the triple tree.

this is all worse-case but be aware.

and practical
