Default Road King tire wear?

I'm new to Harley's. My front tire is almost completely worn out on my 2010 Road King, almost 11K miles. You can still see the full tread pattern. I could go another 500 miles I think. But the rear is still looking very good, about 3/16" of tread left. I had a friend say he goes through 2 fronts for every rear tire. Does that sound reasonable?
I never had a motorcycle do that. Hmm. I'm not complaining.

Don't EVER push the mileage on a motorcycle tire. Remember, you lose one at speed, you're in for quite a wild ride IF you can keep it upright. Front tire at 11k is pretty bad. As said above, I too go through multiple back tires before a front tire. Is the alignment ok on the bike? Are your front brakes dragging a lot? Things to look at.

You should go through more rears than fronts but my practice is to just change them out at the same time. I replaced my stock Dunlops at about 15K only because I was heading on a long trip. Current American Elites have 16K and I'll change them out at 20K. I keep tire pressure at 41/41.

I've got about 14-15k on my tires - front is nearing the wear indicators, rear is badly cupped, but tread is good. Those Dunlops do wear well! Replacement is my next winter project. Joe

The rear tires should wear out faster as that's your drive tire. If you're doing a lot of front braking and not too much rear braking then the fronts may wear slightly more. I'd check the front tire if it turns freely when you spin it by hand. If not then that could be the issue as already said above.

Nevertheless, I'd change 'em now. Blowouts aren't fun.

Not reasonable at all...I go through two rear tires for every front tire. I would say you have something wrong with the tire or front end.

Typically i go through two rear tires for every one front tire on my '09 RK. I average 12-15k on a rear and close to 27-30k on a front tire.

I can't really explain how your tires are wearing like that as it's opposite of what's normal in my experience. Obviously replace it since it's worn. Remember tire failures increase dramatically in the last thousand miles on a tire.

My 2010 RKC gets 10k miles on the rear and 15k miles on the front. My rear cups pretty bad even at stock tire pressures. I use a belt sander on it when it gets loud and it makes a big improvement.
