Thanks again all...

Mouser: That pic is too small. I downloaded and opened it but it's too small to see the details. Do you know the vendor/link?

Potato: Thanks for the Bruiser link and info.

Still searching for info for narrower rear guards...

Thanks

I can see it. Bagless works as an alternative on a turing. Not perfect but it does work. what the hell. we are having fun right. jmo.
Me I would change bikes. Dyna convertable or softail.

Joe...thanks for the link. While these rear guards would be better than the stock rear guards in bagless mode, I still would prefer rear guards that only protrude out about half as far as the stock rear guard/bags.

The search continues. If I can't find what I'm looking for, I may just go rear guard-less in bagless mode, but my first choice is to have some type of rear guard back

Hi all, I decided to view the rear of the bike. I am going to modify the side covers just like Bruisers used to sell. Next will be the chrome swing arm. When I go on trips I just slip the BIG saddlemen bag on the sissy bar off the rear or on the bread basket.

It's personal preference, and I'm just teasing you. It's your bike!

I personally am not a fan of the look, but also it's a strange contraption in my mind, too many moving parts with zero justification, the way I see it.

I know it's trying to mimic an old school muscle car, but there's no reason for it to have an opening and closing butterfly, and that mechanism often breaks.

Appreciated. It was the first mod many many years ago. Was wearing on me also. Thanks all. I'll post pics of when I complete the "bagless" side covers. It will enable more of the rear wheel and swingarm to be exposed.
